How sequence timing works
When each message in a sequence fires and how to adjust the delays.
Every sequence is a series of messages with delays between them. Defaults are tuned for the typical industry rhythm; you can override per-sequence.
Defaults
- Hot lead — SMS in 2 minutes, email in 5 minutes, call task in 10 minutes.
- Warm lead — email in 1 hour, follow-up email after 24 hours.
- Cold sequence — 30 days, ~7 touches.
- Reactivation — fires at 30 days dormant, then 90 days dormant.
Adjust on the Sequences page. Changes apply to new triggers; in-flight contacts continue on the old timing.
